Why cant GES create an online data collection portal or better still use the gespromotions website to collect arrears data from teachers instead of asking teacher unions to collect data on arrears from affected teachers.
Besides how would a teacher be able to calculate their arrears since they dont know the metrics controller use in calculating the arrears.
How will GES be able to detect that a teacher is falsifying their arrears figure. Is this data collection exercise not some kind of delay tactics and deceitful act of convincing teachers to believe that their arrears are going to be paid.
Why can't controller look into their system and payroll history and use that history to pay the arrears.
This data collection exercise is just a bogus exercise to throw dust into the eyes of teachers who are owed arrears to believe this exercise will materialise into something positive.
This exercise is just a fake and bogus bureaucracy to make teachers who are owed arrears have hope that their arrears are going to be paid.
No teacher should believe this arrears data collection exercise will materialise into payment.
Controller is the best entity to resolve this arrears issue by using and looking into their payroll history to determine how much each teacher affected is due.
No form of data collection can resolve this issue.
For how long will teachers continue to be filling forms for their arrears to be paid. Controller should deal with this without any form filling.
